ND•3 Subzero - Long Distance Laser Designator - The Ultimate Alternative to Night Vision
To create true night vision, the ND-3 Subzero™ Laser Designator uses the same patented green laser technology as the standard ND-3® series. However through innovative engineering and equipped with a unique circuitry enabling the DPSS 532nm green laser to now operate at temperatures as low as -18˚ C without loss of power.
The patented Rotary Optical Collimator uses a system of 9 fully multi-coated lenses that allowing full adjustment and control of the beam diameter and intensity to focus light where needed most. Rotating the collimator ring to minimum creates a bright micro beam of green laser light visible up to 3 kilometers. Rotating the collimator to more open settings provides plenty of illumination to light a trail at night or “paint a target” at up to 220 meters.

Perché il laser verde?
La luce verde è quella più visibile per l'occhio umano (vedi la graduatoria) e per essere vista di notte richiede un minimo aggiustamento della visione. In condizioni normali durante il giorno l’occhio raggiunge la massima sensibilità a circa 555nm. Paragonato al rosso, il cui spettro ottico è di circa 630-650 nm, si nota che l'occhio umano è più vicino alla regione verde dello spettro ottico, a circa 510-530 nm.
Gli occhi degli animali vengono illuminati intensamente dalla luce laser verde e vengono resi così visibili anche a grandi distanze se puntati con mirino ottico. Per una visione notturna ottimale per la caccia è consigliabile abbinare all’ND3 un mirino potente variabile di alta qualità con un obiettivo di almeno 40 mm che fornisca la massima trasmissione della luce. Il sistema di montaggio ND3 incluso per tubi da 1,5 cm permette la piena regolazione per il vento e l'elevazione per l'allineamento del mirino. Sono inoltre incluse anche montature aggiuntive per cannocchiali, binocoli e scina tipo weaver.
